APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• DB2 9.7 fix pack 5 encounters errors and may crash after viewing
  certain panels in TPC.  This is due to DB2 APAR IC81709.
  

Local fix

• Use DB2 9.7 fix pack 4.

Problem conclusion

• The TPC installation program has been modified to stop when it
  encounters DB2 9.7 fix pack 5 (like it does for fix pack 1 and
  fix pack 2).  DB2 9.7 fix pack 4 is preferred at this time.
  You may also use DB2 9.7 without any fix packs.  For future
