Local fix

Problem summary

  • When using a Bridge Agent there was a race condition that could
cause a failure to delete the source file when the source
disposition had been set to 'delete'. The following exception
was seen in the output0.log for the bridge agent:
BFGBR0062E: An internal error has occurred. Request for session
container for transfer Id TRANSFER_ID/Sender occurred when it is
    not present.

Problem conclusion

  • Due to a race condition between the transfer thread and the
thread that will drive the deletion of the source file,
incorrect logic could cause the bridge session that contained
the connection to the external file server to be closed. This
meant the file could not be deleted after the transfer had
completed. The APAR solves the issue by correcting the logic so
that the bridge session is not closed if it is still required to
drive the source disposition of delete.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
    pack 7.0.4.2.
