APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The TPC Data server opens at least one DB connection for every
  probe operation; by design this connection should be closed when
  the job completes.
  TPC 4.2.2 FP1 introduced a problem
  where these connections fail to get closed by TPC, eventually
  exhausting the available connections to DB2 causing the TPC Data
  and Device server processes to crash.
  
  Evidence of this specific problem is seen in the:
  TPC/data/log/dbtrace.log.
  
  When you see this exception, check for the timestamps and that
  the exception contains:
  ".RULatestPostProcessingInfo.shouldDeleteMissing(RULatestPostPro

Local fix

• As a temporary workaround, the TPC Data and Device services
  should be stopped for 5 to 10 minutes then restarted.
  Performing this restart once per week should suffice, however
  more frequent restarts may be required based on factors unique
  to each environment.
