IC81022: CONNECTIVITY MAY NOT BE AUTOMATICALLY RESUMED TO VCENTER AFTER A PERIOD OF OUTAGE.
Closed as fixed if next.
Following a temporary loss of connectivity to VCenter (from a shutdown for example), CloudBurst appliance may fail to handle the state transition properly and the connection will not resume automatically. Manual intervention - placing the hypervisors in maintenance mode and restarting them or rediscovering the Cloud Group - may be necessary.
Place the hypervisors in maintenance mode and restart them or rediscover the Cloud Group. Implicit action that forces rediscovery such as re-entering the user/password of the vCenter user in the Cloud definition on the appliance.
This problem was an issue where the WebSphere CloudBurst appliance moved the virtual machine to the failed status when the hypervisor was manually powered down. It has been fixed in IBM Workload Deployer 18.104.22.168 by moving the virtual machine to the maintenance mode after querying the virtual machine.
