Error description
WCA allows users specify both primary and secondary DNS when provisioning a virtual system. In the current design, it allows only primary DNS entry in /etc/resolv.conf. Customer would like to have two DNS entries in /etc/resolve.conf to increase the total availability.
Local fix
Describe any work around for this issue or type: None.
Problem summary
When a user defines cloud groups for PowerVM deployments with multiple DNS entries IBM Workload Deployer/WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance does not set both DNS entries with proper IP addresses. Only the primary DNS IP address is used.
Problem conclusion
The appliance firmware was updated to properly handle the primary and secondary DNS IP addresses configured in the IP Group. Users must upgrade to the most recent level of firmware or contact IBM support to get ifix firmware.
