APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
A database internal to the appliance may get into a state where it cannot be restarted. The primary symptom is that the CloudBurst WebGUI is unavailable. This error will be found in the local:///appstart_rainmaker.app_setup.log: Caused by: org.apache.derby.client.am.SqlException: DERBY SQL error: SQLCODE: -1, SQLSTATE: XJ040, SQLERRMC: Failed to start database '/drouter/ramdisk2/mnt/raid-volume/raid0/databases/rainmaker-db' , see the next exception for details.::SQLSTATE: XSAI2The conglomerate (16) requested does not exist.
Local fix
If problem should occur without this APAR fix applied, the the appliance may need to be reinitialized and restored from backup. In some cases, upgrading to 2.0.0.4 firmware (via the CLI interface) containing this APAR fix may recover an appliance after it was in the failed state. Work with IBM Support to determine if it is the root cause for any appliance issues or WebGUI unavailability. After applying this fix, auto-recovery at the internal database level will alleviate the need for reinitialization/restore.
Problem summary
Under certain conditions a file used by the database is deleted. The database does not start on reboot because of the missing file and the web user interface fails to start as result.
Problem conclusion
The startup code was updated to allow the database to recover from the missing file. A firmware update will be made available to customers experiencing the problem.
Temporary fix
