  • Batch report job failing with following error in
    xxx.report.yyy.log
    Caused by: [SOAPException: faultCode=SOAP-ENV:Client; msg=Error
    opening socket: java.net.BindException: Address already in use:

Problem conclusion

  • The error occurs because of a temporary shortage of available
    tcp/ip ports for outbound connection when Data Server tries to
    connect through SOAP to Device Server to extract
    performance data.
    The fix contained in this APAR is to wait a few seconds and
    then retry the connection.
    
    APAR is targeted for the following maintenance
