4.2.1 Interim Fix 1 (November 2011) for Tivoli Storage Productivity Center

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The Storwize 7000 displays the physical disks in the topology
  viewer if there are no virtual mdisk
  for the storage subsystem. TPC considers a storage subsystem to
  be virtual if it has virtual
  mdisks. While this is correct in general for storage devices,
  for SVC and Storwize 7000 it should
  always consider them virtual and display the mdisks in the
  topology viewer.

Problem conclusion

• The mdisks of the Storwize V7000 should be displayed in the
  topology viewer even if it does not have virtual mdisks.  The
  fix for this APAR is targeted for the following maintenance
