APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the JDBC/JCC driver receives an invalid packet from the
  server it may become stuck in an infinite client re-route
  loop.
  
  This fix will limit the number of retries to 10 retries and then
  throw the -4228 error.
  

Local fix

• In SYSPLEX environments set the JDBC driver parameter
  enableSysplexWLB=false

Problem conclusion

• First fixed in the JDBC driver (db2jcc.jar) included with v9.7
  Fixpack 4.  Download the IBM Data Server Driver for JDBC and
  SQLJ for v9.7 Fixpack 4.
