Error description

  • This APAR only affects reporting functions. It does not affect
    backup or restore functions.

When you run query occupancy of a node whose data resides on a
dedupelicated storage pool, you may get an incorrect value, or
your node may not even appear.

To know if you are encountering a problem with the way query
occupancy calculates the space used for your data on a dedpue
storage pool you can run the following command from the TSM
    Server command prompt:

select * from occupancy where node_name='<NODE_NAME>'

If you see a negative value in any of the entries for the
parameter NUM_FILES, then you are encountering this problem.
    Example:

    tsm: >select * from occupancy where node_name='<NODE_NAME>'

         NODE_NAME: <NODE_NAME>
              TYPE: Bkup
    FILESPACE_NAME:<FS_NAME>
      STGPOOL_NAME: DEDUP
         NUM_FILES: -763926
       PHYSICAL_MB: 0,00
        LOGICAL_MB: 221105,96
      REPORTING_MB: 325036,46
      FILESPACE_ID: 3

         NODE_NAME: <NODE_NAME>
              TYPE: Bkup
    FILESPACE_NAME:<FS_NAME>
      STGPOOL_NAME: DEDUP
         NUM_FILES: -57329
       PHYSICAL_MB: 0,00
        LOGICAL_MB: 22814,23
      REPORTING_MB: 29182,74
      FILESPACE_ID: 4
