APAR status

Error description

  • Lotus Expeditor V6.2.1 has an option to install the WebSphere
MQ Java client.  If the WebSphere MQ bundle is installed, then a
NullPointerException is displayed.

The error is only seen if the WebSphere MQ Java client is being
used to connect to WebSphere MQ via the bundle.

USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of the WebSphere MQ V7 Java Message
Service (JMS) OSGi bundles on OSGi platforms like Lotus
Expeditor.

Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) +Java

PROBLEM SUMMARY:
The problem was caused to missing version numbers in the imports
and exports of the OSGi bundles.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The fix ensures that the version number of the exports and
imports are specified. This will ensure that the right package
from the right bundle will get used in the OSGi platform
