IC71691: PERFORMANCE ALERTS DO NOT SPECIFY SLOT NUMBER FOR UNIQUE PORT IDENTIFICATION

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The alert in general (not just in email) only specifies a port
value and does not provide the slot/port or index value that
would allow it to be uniquely identified.
May potentially effect a number of the alerts. I confirmed
this with Port Receive Bandwidth Percentage Threshold and with
    Port Send Bandwidth Percentage Threshold.
The GUI and the CLI PM report data provide slot, port, and index
values for unique port identification. Alerts need to do this
    too.
