Error description

  • The 4.2 Storage Resource Agent cannot be deployed on a Solaris
    machine because the initial probe is invoked with debug = MAX,
    which causes the probe to fail.  As a result, the deployment is
    aborted with rc = 111.
    
    
    This occurs whenever a customer has SSDs attached to a Solaris
    machine and trys to deploy the Storage Resource Agent.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a SSD is attached to a Solaris     *
    *                      machine and tracing is set to MID or    *
    *                      MAX then the probe crashes when         *
    *                      reading out the target port WWN and     *
    *                      displaying it in a trace message.       *
    *                      The formatting of the trace message     *
    *                      is coded incorrectly.                   *
    *                                                              *
    *                      As a result, the Storage Resource       *
    *                      Agent cannot be deployed on the         *
    *                      Solaris machine because the initial     *
    *                      probe is invoked with debug = MAX       *
    *                      causing the probe to fail and           *
    *                      therefore aborting the deployment       *
    *                      with rc = 111.                          *

Problem conclusion

  • A code change has been made to correct the problem and allow
    the Storage Resource Agent to be deployed.
    
    The fix for this APAR is targeted for the following maintenance
