IC69465: WMQFTE V7 GETS BFGDB0003E(ORA-01722) IF PREACTION OR POSTACTION IS USED IN FTEANT TRANSFER

Error description

• When using WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition v7 to do a fteAnt
  transfer with preaction or postaction, the database logger is
  issuing the following error:
  BFGDB0003E: A problem occurred with the database. The database
  driver reported the following details: SQL State ￭42000, Error
  Code ￭1722, Message ￭ORA-01722: invalid number
  .
  Without preaction or postaction specified for the transfer the
  databaselogger does not have a problem.
  ADDITIONAL KEYWORDS: WMQ FTE fteStartDatabaseLogger pre post
  transfer_event ID mismatch format numeric hexadecimal stored
  in a char(48) column SQL query logs
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When a pre or post transfer call is used with the <call> element
  in an fteAnt script a hexadecimal transfer ID and a numeric
  event ID is passed back. The database logger was using the event
  ID instead of the transfer ID

  Those using database logger and pre/post transfer calls
  
  PLATFORMS AFFECTED:
  All supported
  

Problem conclusion

• CONCLUSION:
  The code was altered to use the hexadecimal transfer ID rather
  than the numeric event ID.
  Any messages sent to the reject queue because of this error can
  now be resubmitted to the database. Instructions on how to do
