APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The performance monitor appears to recover, but is not
    continuing to collect data.  As a result, no alert is generated
    to notify the user that an outage occurred.

    *                      from the performance monitor failure.'  *

Problem conclusion

  • The primary process of the performance collection will be able
    to recover from an unexpected failure when both of these
    messages are seen.
    
    HWNPM2026W The performance monitors primary process has failed
    unexpectedly. Attempting to recover from the failure.
    HWNPM2029I Successfully recovered from the performance monitor
    failure.
    
    The fix for this APAR is targeted for the following maintenance
    package:
