  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • This apar addresses the following issues:
    scenario a
The dsmwatchd on the source nodes do not detect that the HSM
owner node has been shutdown or is being rebooted. The failover
to one of the source nodes does not take place. As a result
    file recalls fail.
    scenario b
Failover takes place unexpectedly when cluster nodes are
heavily loaded with i/o to GPFS.
    scenario c
One of the source nodes is shutdown down after failover has
been disabled. The dsmwatchd on the other cluster nodes try to
contact this node and log ANS9592E and ANS9590E messages in the
    dsmerror.log at regular intervals.
    scenario d
After a failover started the dsmscoutd of the old owner node
and the dsmscoutd of the new owner node might access the CFI
    simultaneously causing inconsistent entries.
