IC68063: THE DB2ADMIN PASSWORD IS NOT BEING ACCEPTED DURING A REPORTING AND MONITORING UPGRADE

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • On a Windows 64 bit upgrade, when the user is asked to enter the
db2admin password, user gets the following error message:
TSM was unable to validate your credentials. Please verify your
username and password.
Tips:
 - Check if the username already exists in your localhost user
group
 - If the username already exists make sure that the password is
correct
No matter what password the user enters in for the db2admin
user, user cannot get past this panel. Resetting the password
does not help here.

Local fix

  • Remove the db2admin user
    - Open up a command prompt
    - net user db2admin /DELETE
    - continue with the install
