Error description
A file transfer fails and returns a BFGSS0044W message to Transfer Log window in MQ Explorer when using WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition (WMQ FTE) v7.0.2. OR V7.0.2.1 BFGSS0044W: The file has transferred successfully but the source agent was unable to delete the source file. The file transfer was configured to delete the source file after the transfer had completed. The soure file is then locked and cnnot be deleted until the source agent is restarted
Local fix
Stop the agent and manually delete the file.
Problem summary
When a file transfer to a Protocol Bridge agent with source disposition set to delete (sd=delete) fails with an authentication error the source file is then locked and cannot be deleted. All subsequent attempts to delete this file as part of a transfer will lead to the transfer failing with a BFGSS0044 USERS AFFECTED: All users transferring to a Protocol Bridge agent PLATFORMS AFFECTED: All supported platforms
Problem conclusion
CONCLUSION: A change was made so that the file is closed regardless of the status of the transfer.
