4.2.1 Interim Fix 1 (November 2011) for Tivoli Storage Productivity Center

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Installer failing with java.FileNotFoundException.   The install
  path is being corrupted.  Customer path stated as F:\apps\IBM,
  notice in the errors below, the path "F: pps".  The leading "\a"
  is being removed.  Looks like "\a" is being treated as an escape
  character.

Local fix

• Possible workarounds:  Use Uppercase 'A', or reattempt the
   installation with the original path as it seems to only fail
   on the first attempt.  Alternatively use a different path name
   that does not start with a.

Problem conclusion

• A code change has been made to allow the directory name to
  not be confused with special escape characters.  The fix for
