APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customer has TPC4.1.1.66 installed on Windows 2003 server and he
    reported that computer back online alert not working.
    
    To recreate the issue:
    Step#1 TPC GUI->Data Manager->Alerting->Computer Alerts, Server
    Back on Line Alert had been created, and the alert shows that an
    email should be sent when the computer comes back online
    Step#2 TPC GUI->Administrative Services->Alerting->Alert
    Log->Computer, the alert log shows several computers went
    offline
    Step#3  TPC GUI->Administrative Services -> Data
    Sources->Data/Storage Resource Agent,the SRA status panel shows
    many of these servers are back online.
    
    An alert was not sent and the alert log did not record the
    server back up.

Problem conclusion

  • Modify the code to trigger Computer Status Change Alerts
    defined for "All Computers" or computer groups.
    
    The fix for this APAR is targeted for the following
