APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The WebSphere MQ v7 resource adapter will not
successfully deploy AdminObjects with property values
containing trailing spaces or multiple name/value pairs on a
single line. These files may have deployed successfully with the
    v6 resource adapter.

Errors such as this are observed when attempting to process the
    Admin object's XML properties file:

    ObjectName:
    :name=jms/ecService/queue/<QNAME>.
    DI000001
    State: FAILED
    Reason: org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: Error for
    property

    com.ibm.mq.connector.outbound.MQQueueProxy'
    for admin object 'interface javax.jms.Queue'
    ra=jboss.jca:service=RARDeployment,name='wmq.jmsra.rar'; -
    nested
    throwable: (com.ibm.msg.client.jms.DetailedJMSException:
JMSCC0005: The specified value '' is not allowed for ''. The
given value is not allowed for the property specified. Change
the value to a value that is supported for the property.)

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users whose resource adapter configuration
files contain trailing space characters on property values or
multiple name/value pairs on a single line.

    Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) +Java
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
The properties passed from the application server to the
resource adapter were not parsed correctly, preventing resources
    from being created.

Problem conclusion

  • Properties passed from the application server are now parsed
correctly by the resource adapter, and configuration files which
were valid with the WebSphere MQ v6 resource adapter are also
valid with the WebSphere MQ v7 resource adapter.
