Error description

• Version 6.1 Tivoli Storage Manager servers configured as
  library managers may invalidly attempt to reclaim drives
  being used by library clients.  Drive reclaim is intended to
  prevent resources from being hung out for long periods of time
  should a library client become hung or stop running for any
  reason. The library manager will attempt to reclaim a drive(s)
  if there has not been a confirmation of use received within the
  LIBSHRTIMEOUT setting.  The default LIBSHRTIMEOUT is 15
  minutes.  A message similar to the following is issued to the
  activity log when a drive is reclaimed for use by others:

  14.09.2009 08:24:47  ANR8925W Drive XXXXX in library XXXXX has
  not been confirmed for use by server XXXXX for over 900 seconds.
  Drive will be reclaimed for use by others.
  .
  If this problem is encountered, the drive reclaim may occur
  invalidly.  The drive should not be reclaimed if the mount
  occurred less than LIBSHRTIMEOUT minutes before.  Here is an
  example of a message issued when a volume is mounted:
  14.09.2009 08:21:18      ANR8337I LTO volume XXXXX mounted
  in drive XXXXX (/dev/rmt1).
  Note:  The volume was mounted at 08:21:18 and the drive was
  reclaimed at 08:24:47 which is less than the LIBSHRTIMEOUT.

  Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
  A trace on the lib manager with PVR MMS classes will show
  symptoms similar to the following if this problem is
  encountered:

  If there is no trace point with
  "Error mp time stamps don't match"
  then this APAR most likely does not apply.
  

Local fix

Problem conclusion

• This problem is resolved.  The fix only needs to be applied to
  the library manager.
