Error description

  • TSM Server does not start if a file called "c:\program" exists,
"ANR0172I rdbdb.c(873)" and  "ANR0162W -1042" reported
Problem Description:
The TSM Server will fail to start if a file called 'c:\program'
exists.  This file is usually empty (0 byte).
The following errors are reported when starting the server in
the foreground:

ANR0237E Fail to start the database manager. An unexpected
system error occurred.
ANR0172I rdbdb.c(873): Error encountered performing action
InstanceStop.
ANR0162W Supplemental database diagnostic information:  -1042:
**No State Information Available (135)**:-1042 (**No Other
Information Available (64)**).

Local fix

  • Manually delete, move or rename the file "c:\program", then
retry to start the TSM Server
