APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An ANR0102E error 8 inserting row in table adminst message is
  issued when a select statement is run against the admins table.
  This can be caused by issuing the command manually or if it is
  entered by another process.  An example of this would be when
  adding a server connection in the Administration Center.  It is
  possible for the length of the data being inserted into a column
  in the table to be longer thanthe defined length for that
  column.
  
  TSM Versions Affected: TSM 6.1 servers on all platforms
  
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics: A trace with  flags DB, DBEXEC, and
  ADM will show the value that is being entered into the adminst.
  For example:
  
  [tbcli.c][9778][TraceSetInputParameters]:col=8,
  name=STORAGE_PRIV, type=STRING, value=XXXXXX
  
  If the length of this value is greater than the length of field
  in the table, the error will occur

Local fix

• It may be possible to reduce the length of the data being
  inserted into the temporary table by reducing the length of some
  of the attributes of the failing adminstrator.
