APAR status

  • Closed as Permanent restriction.

Error description

  • A large number of dictionary entries (more than 8000) can cause
WTS to either core, or causes severe memory issues.

Local fix

  • Transformation of UDF files to "native" LMT lexical files, and
then compile using standard LMT lexical methods.
Code for transformation has been sent.
This new user dictionary loading process can be combined with
    loading UDF directly. We tested.

Problem summary

  • when loading large udm file, the memory used by translation
engine will exceed the memory limitation, then system crash

Problem conclusion

  • A work around has been provided to customer, and this limitation
    will be documented in inforcenter
