Error description

  • Scenario:
1. Open the specific CATDrawing file in CATIA.
2. Go to Tools>Macro>Visual Basic Editor.
3. In the VB Editor, click on Insert>Object Resolution.
4. When the drawing is shown, move pointer over the text and
then the tolerances and observe.
Problem:
 When the pointer is moved over the text/text with
leader/balloon, only those attributes get selected.
When the tolerance symbols are chosen, then all the
attributes in the drawing are selected including the text.
Expected Result:
 When pointer is moved over tolerance symbols, only tolerance
symbols should get activated.

Incident Diagnosis:
Object resolution does not work correctly with geometric
tolerances
Reason:
Object Resolution is based on the automation model objects
exposition. If an object such as
Geometric tolerance is selected, this tool can not run
successfully because geometric
tolerance is not exposed in automation
