Error description

  • Scenario:
    1) Create a CATDrawing using ASME standard.
    2) Create a view with some geometry.
    3) Create a dimension on the geometry.
    4) Change dimension format to "Dual" and the display to
    "Side-by-side" (main value = NUM.DIMM, dual value = NUM.DINC,
    for example)
    .
Result: Dimension are displayed as NUM.DIMM[NUM.DINC].
    Brackets are very small.
adding "(" before the main value, and ")" after the dual
value to the dimension texts, closing parenthesis are inside
the bracket of the dual dimension (NUM.DIMM[NUM.DINC )]
    .
Expected Result: Dimension to display as a reference
    dimension (surrounded by parenthesis)
    (NUM.DIMM[NUM.DINC])

Comments

  • INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
The requested behavior is to have a format like (main [dual]).
This format is not offered by CATIA drafting.
The user is performing to have setting before-main to '(' and
    after-dual to ')'.
This results in a format like (main [dual)].
This is the right behavior since the squared brackets are
    dual value separators.
To drive the squared bracket (i.e. the dual value separators)
size is possible by customize the standard.
    Documentation Reference:
    Mechanical design / Interactive Drafting
    Administrative tasks / Dimension Parameters
The dual value separators size can be specified in the
standard with the parameter "Dual Dimension: Side-by-side
    dual display mode, Separator height".
