Error description

  • CATScripts do not work any more with xlC.rte
8.0.0.5 and xlsmp.rte 1.6.0.0 (= U808794)

we have a serious problem with our CATIA V5
installation at our server.
We installed the prereqs for AIX 5.3 C++ runtime
version 8.
Now our CATSCRIPT macros are no longer
running.

Scenario:
1. install AIX 5.3ML4 and install "xlC.rte 8.0.0.5 +
xlsmp.rte 1.6.0.0"
2. start CATIA V5R15SP4
4. Open new CATPart
3. run macro "PMR_31369.CATScript"
We get the following error message:
ScriptingERR_1004
"Execute the script "PMR_31369.CATScript". The
CATScript scripting engine in not properly installed.
Install the scripting engine and run your script
again."

Problem conclusion


    

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA
VERSION 5 RELEASE 18 GA level.
NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE
FIXED ON V5R17SP02 and ON V5R16SP08.

CATScripts do not work any more with xlC
rte 8 0
0 5 and xlsmp rte 1 6 0 0 (= U808794)

.Correction Explanation
This xlC level changes the order in which
the static
object are loaded, which lead to a problem
in the
Mainwin init
.
