APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • 1) - In VPM create a PART PART_SOURCE
    - In VPM copy this PART
    - Start CATIA V5 from VPM
    - In CATIA V5 create a CATPart ('Source' ) with 3
    points, create a publication on point 1 and point 2.
    Don t publish point 3.
    - In VPM (VPMA) create a CATIA V5 document
    from the CATPart in the
    CATIA V5 session - paste the PART data copied
    previously
    - In CATIA V5 close the CATPart file
    - In VPM (VPMA) open the CATIA V5 document ->
    the CATPart is loaded into CATIA V5
    2) - In VPM create a PART PART_CIBLE
    - In VPM copy this PART
    - In CATIA V5 create a new CATPart ('Target')
    (File/New/Part)
    - In CATIA V5 go to the window with the CATPart
    ('Source') created in STEP 1 and copy the 3 points
    - In CATIA V5 go to the window with the CATPart
    ('Target') created in STEP 2 and paste the copied
    points 'as result with link'
    - In VPM (VPMA) create a CATIA V5 document
    from the CATPart in the CATIA V5 session - paste
    the PART data copied previously
    - In CATIA V5 close all files
    3) - In VPM create a PART PART_HEAD only to
    facilitate the reading of MML Link using PSN (No
    contextual link)
    - In VPM (VPMA) copy PART_SOURCE and
    PART_CIBLE
    - In VPM (VPMA) paste those PARTS on
    PART_HEAD
    4) - In VPM open PART_HEAD in PSN and expand
    ALL
    - check the MML graph ?impacted on? or ?impacted
    by?
    => the result is OK
    5) - In VPM (VPMA) open the CATIA V5 document
    ('Target')
    - In CATIA V5 remove point 3 (the one not
    published)
    - In CATIA V5 save the modified CATPart
    6) - In VPM open PART_HEAD in PSN and expand
    ALL
    - check the MML graph
    => the result is KO - All MML links are lost, no MML
    links shown on MML graph
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • MML V5 links lost on CATParts with links on publications and
    elements.

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA
    VERSION
    5 RELEASE 17 GA level.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE
    FIXED
    ON V5R16SP06  AND
    V5R14SP10.

    MML V5 links lost on CATParts with links on

    Additional check done to see if the number
    of
    pointed objects is 0
    .
