Question

How can one determine which supervisor modules are in use in a Cisco MDS chassis, Supervisor2 or Supervisor2A?

Answer


To determine this, issue command show module in the director's CLI, or command show module x, where x is a slot containing a supervisor module. The results will display which type of module is in use, as in the following examples:


sw1-gd76# show module 7

sw1-gd31# show module 7

The cards will be similarly identified in Data Center Network Manager (DCNM).
