Supported Drive Types and Firmware Levels for IBM Storwize V7000
Please take note of the following concurrent compatibility tables which illustrate the supported upgrade paths.
This document indicates the recommended concurrent upgrade paths from all previous versions of software to the latest release in each codestream.
Information for Storwize V7000 Unified systems
The Storwize V7000 Unified software package includes any software updates that are available for both file modules and Storwize V7000 block storage. All updates are automatically applied as part of the upgrade process. It is not necessary to upgrade file storage and block storage separately. A concurrent upgrade path from V6.1.x to V6.4.x with iSCSI configured is available using an intermediate level, such as V6.3.x
