Abstract

Respawning sddsrv incorrectly for AIX SDD version 1.7.2.5 causes extensive logging and results in log filesystem ( /etc/utmp and /var/adm/wtmp) overflow.

The installation of AIX SDD version 1.7.2.5 introduced the "respawn" option, however, sddsrv respawning incorrectly will cause extensive logging and result in log filesystem ( /etc/utmp and /var/adm/wtmp) overflow.
