If a Code Upgrade Stalls or Fails then Contact IBM Support for Further Assistance
If an error is encountered during a SAN Volume Controller, Storwize V7000, IBM Flex System V7000, Storwize 3500 or Storwize 3700 code upgrade, and the upgrade stalls or fails, then please contact IBM Support before taking any recovery actions.
It is important that the upgrade should not be restarted without first contacting IBM Support.
A software or hardware error during an SAN Volume Controller, Storwize V7000, IBM Flex System V7000, Storwize 3500 and Storwize 3700 code upgrade can result in the upgrade process either stalling or failing, depending on the nature of the error.
IBM Support will review the type of error and the progress of the upgrade when the error was encountered, to determine the appropriate service actions.
It is important that the upgrade should not be aborted or restarted without first contacting IBM Support.
