4900-7x5 Introduction and Overview:
The new IBM SurePOS 700 models are designed for retailers who need high-
performance point-of-sale systems for demanding customer service solutions that deliver deeper, more profitable relationships for the brand. With the new SurePOS 700, retailers can drive revenue with performance and energy savings from features such as the Intel Core i3 processor and
solid-state drive options, while adapting easily to change with a flexible, convertible style.

Key Product Enhancements:
New SurePOS™ 780 Models 785, E85, and C85 offer a choice of Intel® processors and the latest technology advancements. Highlights include:
Superior Intel technology -- choose Intel Core i3 2120 or Celeron G540
2 GB DDR3 base memory, expandable to 8 GB (32-bit OS environments can not address above 4 GB)
Enhanced graphics for dual display
500 GB SATA hard drive standard
Easy-to-wake, energy saving deep sleep
Light-Path Management
Tool-free, front entry serviceability
IBM® Remote Management Agent
Standard, controller, and preloaded configurations
Serviceability: The IBM SurePOS 700 Series, the premier point-of-sale (POS) solution in the retail industry, now delivers simplified management and enhanced service features that help retailers implement their customer-centric initiatives and maintain a highly differentiated business, while reducing IT costs.

Model Offerings:
All models of the IBM SurePOS 700 Series now feature IBM Light-Path Management and IBM Remote Management Agent for proactive monitoring and remote updates. These industry-leading technologies help keep systems running smoothly, while reducing IT management costs.

Models 785, 745 models also feature a virtually tool-free design that offers easy serviceability through secure front access to the system unit. This allows store employees to replace units and swap out parts quickly and easily -- helping to ensure maximum uptime and reduce service costs. New with these models is a low profile powder coated narrow enclosure option providing space saving without the need of the traditional cover set. The 785, C85, and 745 can be ordered in either with the traditional cover sets or the new low profile enclosure. The low profile option only applies to the narrow foot print and not the wide integrated configuration.

The Model 775 provides another store installation option for the customer. The Model 775 referred to as the Tower of Power offers easy access to key components in a compact footprint for distributed installations. The model 775 has the same technology base as the Model 785 utilizing the Intel Celeron Dual Core G540 processor.

Ultimately, these features help retailers reduce management and service costs while delivering the flexibility businesses need to respond to changing trends and marketplaces with a compelling customer experience.
