HTTP Admin2 job consuming storage, creating thousands of threads over time, CPF0908 machine ineligible condition threshold reached for other jobs.

Abstract

Environment:
Occurs after the installation of the following HTTP Group PTF level
SF99713 - Level 11
SF99368 - Level 36

Problems:
Message CPF0908 are getting logged.
Storage problems. (due to core, javacore files getting generated)
Out of Memory errors for Admin2.

How can you debug this issue?

Review the following directory:
/qibm/userdata/os/AdminInst/admin2/wlp/usr/servers/admin2
You will find a large number of Javacore, core, snap, dumps created.

Review the following file:
/qibm/userdata/os/AdminInst/admin2/wlp/usr/servers/admin2/server.xml


Client calls in stating Admin2 has XXXX number of threads.....

Workarounds:

Install the following PTFs. (Will be included in a new HTTP Group PTF)

i 7.1: SI58242
i 7.2: SI58241

OR

Install JDK 7 on the machine and restart HTTPAdmin.

Change the keepAlive to a 0 value
