Telnet sessions are dropping.
Resolving The Problem
IMPORTANT: Before starting a TRCCNN or TRCINT command, ensure you have the corrective PTFs for APAR MA48477 applied to your system.
The corrective PTFs are:

To capture data when Telnet drops, do the following:

On the operating system command line, type the following: TRCCNN Press F4 to prompt the command. |
| 2. | Specify the following: Trace option setting . . . . . . > *ON Press the Enter key. |
| 3. | Specify the following: Trace type . . . . . . . . . . . *IP Trace full . . . . . . . . . . . *WRAP Trace table name . . . . . . . . IBM (or some other unique label) Size: Number of units . . . . . . . 196000 (if you know the TCP/IP address of the failing PC you can set this to 136000) Unit of measure . . . . . . . *KB Page down, and specify the following: TCP/IP data: Protocol . . . . . . . . . . . *TCP Local port . . . . . . . . . . 23 (Note: when using SSL, specify Local port 992) Remote port . . . . . . . . . Local IP address . . . . . . . Remote IP address . . . . . . (if you know the TCP/IP address of the PC that will drop, type it here; otherwise, leave blank) Line description . . . . . . . |
| 4. | Press Enter to start the trace. |
| 5. | Once the problem happens again, stop the trace: TRCCNN Press F4 to prompt the command, then F9 to see all parameters. Specify the following: Trace option setting . . . . . . *OFF Trace table name . . . . . . . . IBM (or the unique label entered above when the trace was started) Trace data to be formatted . . . *CALC Coded character set identifier *EBCDIC Press the Enter key. |
