MGTC Inventory Fails with Message CPFB91C RC2 and RC6
In the QYPSJSVR joblog on the Endpoint system, message CPFB91C RC2 and RC6 is logged. The QSECOFR password on the Endpoint was different than the password on the Central system.
Resolving the problem
When attempting to collect inventory on an Endpoint system, it fails with user is not authorized in Operations Navigator. In the QYPSJSVR joblog for the Endpoint, the following messages were posted:
CPFB91C RC2 - Authentication protocol failed. Data is inconsistent.
CPFB91C RC6 - Authentication protocol failed. Substitution data could not be retrieved for profile.
Included in the QYPSJSVR joblog for Central are the following errors:
CPFB96B - Authentication failed for request from user QSECOFR on system (Central). Management Central server on (Endpoint) was not able to authenticate the request from system (Central).
CPFB9A1 - Management Central could not create a connection to (Endpoint).
The password for QSECOFR on the Endpoint system was changed to the same password on the Central system. If it is a security issue to have the QSECOFR password be the same on all systems, you should do the following from Operations Navigator:
|1.||Management Central/Properties/Security/uncheck require a password. This resolves problems with the Central system. The same must be done for each Endpoint system.|
|2.||Management Central/Change Central system/select Endpoint.|
|3.||Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for each Endpoint system.|
