Uninstalling IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client and WebSphere Development Studio Client Advanced Edition

1.Launch the IBM Installation Manager by clicking Start > All Programs > IBM Installation Manager > Installation Manager.
2.Click the Uninstall Packages icon:

In the Installation Manager window, the Uninstall Packages icon is circled.
3.Select IBM Software Development Platform and click Next.
4.Click Uninstall on the following panel:

In the Uninstall Packages window, IBM Software Development Platform is highlighted.

5.Uninstall IBM Installation Manager. Click on Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. Find IBM Installation Manager and click the Remove button.

In the Add or Remove Programs window, IBM Installation Manager is highlighted.

Manual Cleanup

Do the following:
1.In your folder options, ensure you can see hidden files and folders.
Bring up the task manager and make sure that the following processes are ended: eclipse.exe, java.exe, and javaw.exe
2.Go to C:\Program Files\IBM and remove the InstallationManager folder, SDP70 folder, and the SDP70Shared folder.

Note: If you have RDi installed along with WDSC v7.0 and you are only having a problem with WDSC v7.0 in which a cleanup and
uninstall are needed, you will not want to remove the SDP70Shared folder. You would only want to remove the SDP70Shared folder if this was a new installation, or if you have only one client product installed.
3.Go to C:\WINDOWS (or c:\winnt on Microsoft Windows 2000 systems) and remove the .nifregistry file, if it is found.
4.Go to C:\WINDOWS (or c:\winnt on Windows 2000 systems) and remove the vpd.properties file, if it is found.
5.Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<user> and remove the IBM folder, where <user> is the user profile that the products were installed under (most likely Administrator).

Note: By removing the IBM folder, you will be removing the default workspace along with any other user data located in this directory.
6.Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\IBM and remove the InstallationManager folder, where <user> is the user profile that the products were installed under (most likely Administrator). If you do not see the Application Data folder in Windows Explorer, go under Tools -> Folder Options -> View and make sure under Hidden Files and Folders that the Show Hidden Files and Folders is selected.

Note: You need to clean up Installation Manager by removing the InstallationManager folder for "All Users" which can be found in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\IBM
7.Run the following to ensure that the Installation Manager did get cleaned out. Use Start > Run, and copy and paste the entire following string:

MsiExec.exe /X{DBD90D51-BD46-41AF-A1F5-B74CEA24365B}
