How to Manually Remove an HTTP Server

Troubleshooting

Problem

This document contains instructions on how to manually remove an HTTP Server from your iSeries server.

Resolving The Problem

To manually remove an HTTP Server from your iSeries server, do the following:

1. You should delete the member for your HTTP server in the following file:

WRKMBRPDM FILE(QUSRSYS/QATMHINSTC) and press Enter.

1a. Enter option 5 on your HTTP Server name and press Enter.
1b. Write down the server root. The following example shows the default:
-apache -d /www/webserver ...
It means the server root here is /www/webserver for a server named webserver.
1c. Enter option 4 on your HTTP Server name. Press Enter to delete this member.

2. You should delete the directory structure for your HTTP server in the directory from Step 1b.

2a. Issue the STRQSH command and press Enter.
2b. Type cd /www and press Enter.
2c. Type rm -r <yourHTTPServerName> and press Enter.

Although it may not be necessary, it is recommended that you stop and start your HTTP ADMIN server instance again by issuing the following commands:

ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)
STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)
