Resolving The Problem

While attempting STRTCPSVR *MGTC, Management Central fails with messages CPFB9A1, CPFB93B type McScheduler, CPFB93B type com.ibm.mc.server.McPrivateServer, MCH3602, MCH74A5, and CEE9901. DSPJVAPGM shows the correct releases. *PUBLIC on path /QIBM/UserData/OS400 is at the correct authority down the path.

Note:
Starting at V7R2 and higher, the DSPJVAPGM command was removed so there is not a way to check Java programs.
Anyway following message should still be displayed on MGTC trace.

MGTC traces show a JDBC problem:

To resolve this issue, you must apply the following PTF:

V7R1: SI65845
V7R2: SI71857
V7R3: SI71822
V7R4: SI71855

If the PTF is already applied and it does not correct the problem, you should delete the QUSRSYS/QYSMSVRE user index. This user index will be re-created the next time the server jobs attempt to start up.
WARNING:
User index QUSRSYS/QYSMSVRE is used to store host server customizations. Those customizations will be lost when the user index is deleted. This user index is used when any host server customization is done on the system (such as configuring database host server and prestart jobs to run in a subsystem other than the default).
Check Host Server Customization, Routing Connections By IP Address document for additional details.

When the QYSMSVRE user index becomes corrupted, it must be deleted and either restored from backup (to maintain host server customization if it has been made) or allowed to re-create automatically when a server daemon attempts to access the user index and finds it missing.
