APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
After applying one of the following PASE PTFs: SI63976 (7.3),
SI63977 (7.2), or SI63978 (7.1) and one of the following SSH
PTFs: SI63656 (7.2+) or SI63657 (7.1), you may notice CPF2217
messages in the SSHD job log and Authority Failure (AF) entries
in the audit journal, trying to read information from the QSYS
user profile.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE68378 :
-----------------------------
This is caused by a combination of code changes to allow
per-user PASE shell options as well as changes in SSH to allow
it to consider "system directories" to be owned by QSYS in
addition to QSECOFR. The changes in SSH require getting the UID
for QSYS using the getpwnam() PASE API. With the changes in PASE
to get the user's shell, the PASE code will call an API to
retrieve the shell information from the user profile. If the
user does not have *READ authority to the user profile, it will
trigger a CPF2217, but be ignored. In addition, if authority
failure auditing is enabled an AF record will be sent to the
audit log.

Previously, if the user did not have *READ authority to the user
profile, getpwnam() and getpwuid() would not trigger any error
or authority failure but instead return only the user name, user
id, and primary group id. The code has been updated to only
retrieve the user's shell if the user has *READ authority to the
user profile.
