APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
When using the JDBC driver, data passed via parameter markers
may be corrupted.
The problem occurs when when parameter markers are used, the
data type is CHAR, the maximum number of characters are used in
the parameter, and the CCSID of the parameter is one of the
following: 424, 937, 1047, 1166, 1175, 1371, 1377, 5233, 28709,
57777, 61175, 62211, 62224, 62235, 62245, 62251

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE68068 :
-----------------------------
The native JDBC driver has been corrected to prevent the
corruption of CHAR parameter markers for the CCSIDs listed
above.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE68068 :
--------------------------------
Calling the same statement with the IBM Toolbox for java JDBC
driver does not have the problem. For stored procedures, the
problem may be worked around with a CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE
statement with the CHAR parameters using CCSID 37 instead of
CCSID 937, when the procedure does not utilize mixed data.
