APAR Error Description / Circumvention
-----------------------------------------------
A job that runs without commitment control opens a file to
rollback a deleted record. The rollback works, but a commit
definition is left open. The only way to get rid of the commit
definition is to end the job. The file has a foreign key
constraint defined over it.
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE40812 :
-----------------------------
The foreign key constraint on the Database File forces the
Database engine to Open it under Commitment Control. The
Application Program then calls the Database Put Deleted Entries,
QDBPUTD, Program in order
to place additional Deleted Records at the end of the File's
Member. However, the QDBPUTD Program is
Not starting a secondary Commit Cycle and Commit after it has
Inserted the new Deleted Entries. Therefore, the request to
Insert Deleted Entries is left in an Un-Committed State. The
QDBPUTD Program will be changed in order to correct this
Problem.
