APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
During a vary on of an IASP, in rare circumstances a full
directory recovery could be triggered. This will usually tend to
show itself in a longer than normal vary on.
It has been discovered that there is a chance that some small
segments might be discarded during full directory recovery and
those segments could have association with user profiles or
authorization lists which could ultimately lead to other clean
up elements to be triggered as part of IASP vary on code. Those
clean up elements may end up with profiles being
deleted/recreated generically and losing authorities or
authorization lists losing their owners.

Code will be enhanced to protect the integrity of user profiles
and authorization lists and avoid such occurrences during
directory recovery.

Work around: An IPL of the partition may be needed, follow by a
vary of the IASP and then attempt to identify which authorities
have been lost and manually grant the authorities back as
desired. The resulting PTF will not fix the authority issue if
it has already been encountered, it will only prevent the issue
after it has been applied.

CORRECTION FOR APAR MA47091 :
-----------------------------
