APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-------------------------------------------------
When accessing the system through IBM i NetServer from a PC
running on Windows, the client may encounter errors that result
in heavy use of the NetServer job (QZLSFILET).  The error path
can consume a significant amount of temporary storage. The
"Explorer" window on the PC appears to be frequently refreshed
during the problem state. QZLSFILET CPU usage returns to normal
when the PC user closes the Explorer window, but the temporary
storage remains allocated.

The problem is accompanied by many Server Message Block LIC logs
(4400 100D).  LIC logs contain the following module information
in the dumped call stack:

MODULE   ZLSSEARCH + 00001690
ENTRY    MAPTOFIL_NT__FP14RESP_SEARCH_PMPCPUSULPULI + 00000230

CORRECTION FOR APAR 'MA45463' :
-------------------------------
IBM i NetServer was taking an exception while processing an SMB2
query directory request that specified an output buffer size
that was not large enough to hold the next directory entry.  The
exception path was not returning an internal heap allocation.
Repeated client requests encountering the error compounded the
storage use problem.

The PTF corrects the server processing of requests and ensures
that the heap allocation is returned.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR 'MA45463' :
----------------------------------
None.
