interactive capacity to purchased levels.  This PTF may be a prerequisite

APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
When no *LOOPBACK interface is defined (IPv4 or IPv6), code
responsible for polling the interfaces incorrectly uses an
uninitialized pointer, possibly leading to an overwrite of stack
data. Depending on what data is overlaid in the stack, there may
be no observable symptoms, Function Checks, or even partition
termination.

CORRECTION FOR APAR MA45032 :
-----------------------------
An array of pointers was one element too small when no *LOOPBACK
interface was configured, so access beyond the array size used
an uninitialized pointer. The array size is now correct which
will prevent this unpredictable behavior.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR MA45032 :
--------------------------------
Recreate the standard IPv4 loopback interface (e.g. CL command
"ADDTCPIFC INTNETADR('127.0.0.1') LIND(*LOOPBACK)
SUBNETMASK('255.0.0.0')") or start IPv6 (e.g. CL command "STRTCP
STRIP6(*YES)").
