APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
A spooled file is created that uses a custom form definition. In

the form definition are medium maps that specify drawers 3 and
4. If you print this spooled file via host print transform, no
drawer commands are sent to the printer.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE40561 :
-----------------------------
For AFP documents and form definitions, the source drawer can be

specified using one of two formats.  When Host Print Transform
added support for additional source drawers (those with
integer values beyond 2), only one of the formats (X'02') was
updated.  This fix will add support for the other (X'01')
format.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE40561 :
--------------------------------
none.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE40562 :
-----------------------------------------------
A spooled file is generated using the BARCODE DDS keyword,
specifying to generate a Maxicode barcode. As an example, the
barcode field is defined to be 40 characters long. The program
writes 35 characters to the field, and the 35th character is an
EOT character. The last 5 characters are blank characters. When
you print this spooled file to a printer using host print
transform, the blank characters after the EOT character are
included in the barcode. Some IPDS printers do not barcode the
trailing blanks, and some IPDS printers generate the same
barcode as host print transform. This APAR has been opened to
address how host print transform will process this data, as
iSeries or System i software cannot control what an IPDS printer
will do with this data.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE40562 :
-----------------------------
The Host Print Transform will now truncate all bar code data
that follows the first EOT control character for Maxicode bar
codes which specify modes 2 or 3.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE40562 :
--------------------------------
None.
