 APAR (Authorized Program Analysis Report)

Abstract

OSP-INCORROUT ADD NFS MOUNT DAEMON SUPPORT FOR TCP

Error Description

Some Network File System (NFS) client are unable to mount
exports from the system when the TCP protocol option is
specified on the mount command.

Problem Summary

Some Network File System (NFS) client are unable to mount
exports from the system when the TCP protocol option is
specified on the mount command.

The NFS mount daemon is not enabled to allow connections over
the TCP protocol.  Clients strictly adhering to the user mount
options fail the mount request.

Problem Conclusion

The NFS mount daemon on the system has been changed to allow
connections over TCP.  The PTF corrects the problem.
