MA47587 - LIC PFRM SELECT FIRST NODE WITH UNUSED PAGES WHEN NOT USING AFFINITY.

 APAR (Authorized Program Analysis Report)

Abstract

LIC PFRM SELECT FIRST NODE WITH UNUSED PAGES WHEN NOT USING
AFFINITY.

Error Description

When selecting which node to allocate a page from, the system
currently checks each node and then uses the node containing the
most unused pages. This is a rather lengthy code path, as each
subpool in each node must be queried for the number of unused
pages. It will be much more effective to simply return the
first node with an unused page.

Problem Summary

Please see the ERROR DESCRIPTION section.
