Abstract
OSP-DB *FILE RESTORE DIAGNOSTIC ENHANCEMENT
Error Description
A restore is failing after SLIC DB has performed data space
object storage adjustment and during loading of media data to
the system. Development is generating an inactive trap for data
collection.
Problem Summary
A restore of a saved database file may fail if the saved file
member (data space MI object) became too large. Only files with
very large LOB (CLOB, BLOB, DBLOB) could be affected.
Problem Conclusion
This PTF has the ability to collect additional data during both
save and restore. There will be new vlogs generated in failure
conditions: vl060058B6, vl060058B7 & vl060058B8. If the file
member is too large to be saved or restored, the operation (save
or restore) will fail and generate the new vlogs. Saves will
fail with MSGCPF3795 and Error summary code C5CD.
